My current research focuses on using diffuse optical tomography imaging for cancer detection and monitoring.  Our lab has developed a digital DSP-based dynamic imaging system to perform simultaneous dual-breast imaging and I am currently using it for a clinical research project for detecting breast tumors.  I'm also working on using diffuse optical tomography for monitoring tumor response to chemotherapy in both small animal models and in clinical applications.
